un américain qui construit sa maquette avec des modéles ihc et rah et faller
il arrive a faire de trés belles maquettes avec les modèles rah et ihc !!
voici la liste de ces maquettes :
Well, I am in the USA. Wayne, Michigan, USA to be exact right now. I work for a large traveling carnival company, Wade Shows.
I have been building 1:87 scale models since the late 1980's, when Faller then IHC started introducing models. When I was a child I would draw rides on paper or cardboard, stand them up and arrange a midway, I even used Tinker Toys and Legos as well. Very crude I might add.
Over the years I have gotten better at model building, decent but not on par with the models I see scratch-built from some of the Europeans. My model rides are based mostly on rides that are seen at American fairs and festivals. I have a few Faller models, some IHC, some RAH, a few that I have had built for me from scratch by Warren Renauld, some I have kitbashed, some I have scratch built.
I have two model "shows," one called "Wonderland Shows" and one called "Frangipani Amusements." Between the two shows I have 87 pieces, including dark rides and fun houses. Here are two lists:
Wonderland Shows
Wonder Wheel (Faller Giant Wheel)
Sky Wheel (IHC)
Astro Wheel (IHC)
Musik Express (Faller)
ThunderBolt (IHC)
Rock and Roll (IHC ThunderBolt built with a backwall instead of the top)
Power Tower (Faller)
Insider (Faller)
Rainbow (Faller)
Flash Dance (IHC Megadancer rethemed)
Wave Swinger (Faller)
Meteor (Warren Renauld)
Scrambler (RAH)
Paratrooper (scratch built trailer and tower, sign made on Print Shop, bonnets are buttons from a fabric store, sweeps from IHC Swinger kit, seats from Vollmer Roundabout kit)
Aftershock (IHC Spider, with the conversion kit to the Monster from RAH, added a backwall and base)
Super Star (IHC Breakdance and Tornado combined, no backwall, just a sign and dog house plus nice Faller fence around the ride)
Swinger (IHC)
Octopus (IHC)
Predator (Faller Polyp, the second one after the Octopus, not the newer Octopussy)
Scooter (RAH, Bumper Cars)
Round Up (Warren Renauld)
Starfire (RAH Ring of Fire/Super Loops)
Zipper (RAH)
Heart Flip (used IHC Swinger, scratch built the hearts)
Pirate (RAH, kit is for a Huss Pirate, I changed it and based it more on the SDC Pirate that our real show carries)
Magic Vision (Faller, made into a dark ride)
The Darkness (scratch built dark ride)
Rockin' Glass House (scratch built)
Wacky Shack Fun House (scratch built)
Surf Shack Fun House (scratch built)
Rock and Roll Fun House (scratch built)
Tomb Raider Fun House (scratch built)
Merry-Go-Round (IHC)
Small 2-ab Merry-Go-Round (CDR base and top piece, IHC horses and one chariot, one scratch built chariot, scenery from photos I took, RAH HO-scale M-G-R top)
Super Slide (RAH)
Hampton Umbrella Hot Rods (IHC, I added the cars instead of the motorcycles/boats that come with the kit, base is a used CDR)
Hampton Umbrella Motorcycles (IHC, base is a used CDR)
Hampton Umbrella Boats (IHC, base is a used CDR)
Castle Bounce (Faller)
Flying Saucers (built using tubs from the IHC Tornado and a gear from the same model)
Ferris Wheel (kitbashed from a wheel from the IHC Sky Wheel, I added a trailer and tower and supports)
Flying Airplanes (airplanes from a discount store, sweeps and centre from an IHC Octopus kit)
Mopeds (mopeds from an old model and a plastic ring)
Glider (Vollmer Roundabout minus the base)
Racing (kiddie race car ride with backwall and race cars I bought at a discount store, the base is a used CDR)
Drive-In Racing (scratch built, cars bought at a discount store, backwall, based loosely on the Zamperla Demolition Derby/Tea Cups action)
Tonka Trucks (construction vehicles, around a centre of rocks and a sign, on base that is a used CDR)
Bunny Spin (little rabbits on a used CDR base around an Easter egg)
Plus I have an office trailer, generators, game trailers, concession (food) trailers, umbrellas, benches, ticket boxes, a spotlight that sits on the edge of the midway, etc.
My second model show:
Frangipani Amusements
Sky Wheel (IHC)
Eli Bridge Eagle 16 Wheel (IHC, I scratch built the trailer)
Alpine Bobs (IHC ThunderBolt rethemed)
Jungle Train (Faller)
Spider (IHC)
Gravitron (RAH, I scratch built the scenery panels)
Rolloplane (Warren Renauld)
Tilt-A-Whirl (Warren Renauld)
Super Swings (Faller Chairplane mounted on a trailer)
Falling Star (IHC)
Wisdom Sizzler (scratch built)
Daredevil (IHC Megadancer rethemed with scenes from the movie of the same name)
Shake Off (IHC Tornado rethemed)
Crazy Dance (IHC Breakdancer rethemed)
Scooter (scratch built Dodgem)
Top In Dodgem (Faller)
Crazy Wave (rethemed original Faller Octopus)
Ring of Fire (RAH)
Kamikaze (RAH)
Saturn Six (originally a ground mounted ride built by Warren Renauld, I mounted it on a trailer)
Morbid Mansion (Vollmer Ghost Train rethemed)
Nightmare Factory dark ride (scratch built)
Rock Star Fun House (scratch built)
Alpine Fun House (RAH)
Clown Town Glass House (scratch built)
Hollywood Fun House (scratch built)
King Circus Fun House (small, scratch built, NOT the Barbisan version)
Merry-Go-Round (IHC with an RAH top)
Snow Slide (RAH Super Slide rethemed)
Castle Bounce (Faller)
Tonka Trucks (construction vehicles around a centre pile of rocks and a sign, on a used CDR base)
Hampton Umbrella Motorcycles (IHC, on a used CDR base)
Hampton Umbrella Boats (IHC, on a used CDR base)
Hot Wheels (IHC Hampton, no top, on a used CDR base, I added vehicles purchased at a model train show)
Tubs of Fun (spinning tubs on a used CDR base)
Teddy Bear Spin (wax bears on a used CDR base, based loosely on a Sellner Spin Ride, I may be redoing this one and taking it off the base)
Magic Fliers (scratch built)
Stunt Pilots (airplanes bought at a discount store, mounted on IHC Octopus arms and centre)
All-American Racing (scratch built with backwall and vehicles from a discount store, loosely based on the Zamperla Speedway)
Venture Riverboats (RAH)
Lumberjack Express Train (scratch built, using a train from a Faller playground kit)
Fun Wheel (Aristo-Craft ferris wheel, later built by Preiser, the difference is the gondolas on this one have no tops)
Review of Illusions (Faller, bought used, not sure what I will do with it yet, maybe make it into a dark ride)
Plus an office trailer, generators, a spotlight like above, game trailers, concession (food) trailers, umbrellas, benches, ticket boxes, etc.
I also have a 1985 Faller Exclusive Giant Wheel with all the lights and such, just needs to be fixed up, a Faller Mammoth Cave that I have not built, same with an original Faller Wilde Maus. I also have another Vollmer Roundabout to build.
I am currently working on refurbishing my Faller Top Spin, needs some repainting work, it will end up with Frangipani Amusements on their midway.
Remember, I build my models static (some can move and some of the Faller pieces have the motors and wires added, just not hooked to power), I like to set up different layouts much like American midways, and this way I can have nice looking models and still be able to rearrange them anyway I want without having to worry about wires and motors being in a certain spot all the time. Just my own personal preference.
If you would like to see some photos of my rides, click on the two links below. Keep in mind, when the first page loads up, there are two more pages of photos after that for each show. Each album contains around 290 photos for each show (thats 580 or so photos)!
